Venture deep into Uganda’s raw and rugged wilderness with this 6-day wildlife safari through the sweeping savannahs of Kidepo Valley and Murchison Falls National Parks. Designed for the true adventurer, this trip delivers epic game viewing, dramatic landscapes, and up-close encounters with Africa’s most iconic wildlife.
From the remote, untouched beauty of Kidepo — home to cheetahs, lions, elephants, and antelope — to the thunderous power of Murchison Falls and boat safaris on the Nile, this journey is nothing short of wild. You’ll wrap up with a special visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the last wild rhinos in Uganda.

This is a journey into Uganda’s untamed north — raw, remote, and richly rewarding.
On this day, after your early morning breakfast, you will be met with the Upcountry Safaris Uganda guide for the briefing and then embark on the long drive journey to northern Uganda, we shall have a stopover along the way at Kabalega dinners for lunch. From there proceed to Gulu town where we shall spend the overnight.

Accommodation: Boma Hotel Gulu.
After your breakfast, you start your 4hrs drive to Kidepo valley national park; you will go through the remote countryside and the scenic landscapes, upon arrival at the park you will check in at the hotel for some relaxation and lunch. From there drive through the Kidepo towards the Narus Valley in the south in search of the wildlife species such as the Cheetah, Striped Hyena, Bat-eared Fox, Caracal, Lions, Leopards, Zebra, Giraffe, Kob, Topi, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Oribi, and Warthog. From there drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Kidepo savanna lodge.
On this day very early in the morning, we shall go for another Kidepo experience. Your guide will lead you to another game drive towards Kanangorok hot springs; on this, you see a lot of animals and birds together with the ostriches. Retire back to the lodge for the lunch. After lunch, you will head to the local community of the Karamajong tribe. Enjoy the traditional performance, visit the kraals, learn about their lifestyle, and visit their craft shops.

After your early breakfast, check out and start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. We shall have a stopover in Kitgum or Gulu town for lunch. Arrive in Murchison in the late afternoon and check in at the lodge and relax for the rest of the night.

Accommodation: Fort Murchison Lodge.
On this day after early morning breakfast at the lodge, kick start your adventure on the morning game drive on the Northern bank of the park, and this will enable us with sightings of Lions, cape buffalos, waterbucks, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, oribi, and olive baboons are some of the animals to expect. By around noon retire for the lunch break and some relaxation.
After lunch, your safari guide will pick you up and embark on a three-hour private launch cruise on the Nile, this boat cruise offers an adventurous view of the Murchison falls from the bottom angle. Animals like Hippos, Nile crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the river banks. Hike up to the top of the falls as you enjoy the scenic Murchison falls as the river squeezes its way through a narrow gorge of 7m in the rocks and tabors 43m below speeding westwards into Lake Albert.

After breakfast, check-in and embark on your journey towards Kampala, with a stopover at the Kabarega Diners for lunch. From there along the way back to Kampala we shall have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 1-hour rhino-tracking adventure. You will be led by a ranger guide on the walk-in search for black and white rhinos. The Rhino tracking accomplishes the search for the big five members such as Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, and Leopard seen at the Kidepo and Murchison Falls safaris.
