Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda!
Your family will be warmly received at Entebbe International Airport by our friendly Upcountry Safaris guide. After a short transfer to your hotel, settle in, relax by the pool, and prepare for the adventures ahead.
Overnight: 2 Friends Beach Hotel or Admas Grand Hotel

Day 2: Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls NP
After breakfast, drive north through Uganda’s countryside to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Walk with a ranger to see rhinos up-close in the wild—a safe and exciting experience for kids and adults alike. Continue to Murchison Falls and settle into your lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari – Murchison Falls
Explore the park on an early morning game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. Keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Optional short hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views.

Day 4: Murchison – Transfer to Kibale Forest via Hoima
A scenic drive takes you south through villages and hills toward Fort Portal, the gateway to Kibale Forest. Stop along the way for cultural interactions and photo opportunities.

Day 5: Kibale Forest – Family Chimpanzee Tracking & Nature Walk
Enjoy a thrilling but gentle chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale, perfect for older children. For younger kids or the entire family afterward, take a nature walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, home to monkeys, birds, and butterflies.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Crater Lakes Tour
After breakfast, visit the scenic Ndali Crater Lakes before heading to Queen Elizabeth NP. On arrival, take a short evening game drive or relax at the lodge with views of the savannah.

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
A sunrise game drive takes you in search of big cats, elephants, buffalo, and antelope. In the afternoon, cruise the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see one of the highest concentrations of hippos and birds in Africa.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi – Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions
Drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, where you might spot the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to the mystical forests of Bwindi, home to mountain gorillas.
Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge or Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking or Golden Monkey Tracking & Batwa Cultural Visit
Families with teens can go on the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trek (age limit 15+), while others can enjoy a Golden Monkey trek (age limit 12+). Later, visit the Batwa pygmy community for cultural storytelling and music.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Uganda’s Most Beautiful Lake
A short drive leads to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful, scenic lake dotted with islands. Families can canoe, swim, go birding, or simply relax and soak in the beauty. Optional boat tour to explore the islands.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi – Leisure Day
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Paddle out with dugout canoes, visit local schools or craft shops, or just rest with a good book while the kids play.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening Game Drive
Travel to Lake Mburo National Park, where the savannah is gentle and perfect for families. Go on a game drive to see zebras, impalas, elands, and birds. Optional horseback safari or cycling for adventurous families.
Overnight: Rwakobo Rock or Mpogo Lodge

Day 13: Return to Kampala – Equator Stop – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop at the Equator for fun photo ops and souvenir shopping. Depending on flight time, a short visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (zoo) can be arranged before your drop-off at the airport.
